SHARE DEATH: SARAH ""SADIE"" ARMITSTEAD

Sarah Conder Armitstead, 88, passed away at the home of her son in South Jordan on July 18, 1993.

Born September 14, 1904 in American Fork, Utah to George Alfred and Elizabeth Cousin Conder. Married Elvin Coupe Armitstead in the Salt Lake LDS Temple April 3, 1924. Elvin preceded her in death June 2, 1981. Sadie was a member of the Copperton LDS Ward for 60 years and served in various organizations. She was a faithful visiting teacher and a member of the DUP in Copperton. She was known for her beautiful rose gardens and shared her flowers with everyone.She is survived by a son and four daughters and their spouses, Arvil and Darlene Armitstead, South Jordan; Rea and Jim Griggs, Pocatello, Idaho; Austa and Russ Miller, Gay and Steve Downs, all Midvale; Janise and Ken Eastman, Herriman; 20 grandchildren and 39 great-grandchildren; four sisters, Elva Nilson, Ida Burt, Sylvia Holdaway, Rose Jacobson; two brothers, Arnold Conder and Ray Conder. Preceded in death by a son, Max; three brothers and two sisters.

Funeral services Thursday, July 22, 1993, at 11 a.m. in the Copperton LDS Ward Chapel, Copperton, Utah. Friends may call at Goff Mortuary, 8090 So. State, Wednesday 6-8 p.m. and Thursday at the church from 9:45-10:45 a.m.

Interment, American Fork City Cemetery.
