Rodney King said Tuesday he is not comfortable walking the streets of Los Angeles and hopes to one day leave the city.
King gained international notoriety in 1991 when four white Los Angeles police officers were videotaped beating the black ex-convict following a traffic stop.During an interview on a radio talk show (KFI-AM), King said, "I want to get far away from here for a minute and get some air for a couple of years."
King said he was not comfortable walking the streets of Los Angeles, saying it was "very annoying . . . now that everybody knows who you are."
