SHARE ENROLL CHILDREN NOW IN HEAD START PROGRAM

Low-income families who have a child who will be 4 years old by Sept. 1 and who live in the Salt Lake School District might want to check out the Head Start program, which is enrolling youngsters now.

The federally funded program offers children half-day enrichment programs, transportation, lunches, snacks and health services. Parents can take free classes in sewing, cooking, parenting and other topics, get their high school equivalency degrees and be included in school-related volunteer programs.No child is discriminated against because of race, sex, color, national origin or handicap.
