Residents can a hike to the top of Ensign Peak to commemorate when Brigham Young and a small group of pioneer leaders hiked in 1847. President Gordon B. Hinckley, first counselor in the LDS Church First Presidency, is scheduled tospeak.

Where: Ensign Downs Park, 121 N. Sandrun Road.

Crews will pick up home and yard waste in area bordered by west city limits, Indiana Avenue as it continues to 800 South, State Street and 300 South. Separate woody waste from other debris, no hazardous waste such as paint or oil, and pile all materials on curbs, not in alleys.
