Jerry Lee Funk, age 53, died July 20, 1993 after a courageous battle with cancer at his home in West Valley City, Utah.
Born February 27, 1940 in Ferron, Utah, son of Bruce Everett and Reva Henrie Funk. Married Laurel Mae Stewart; later divorced. Married Karen Lee Edvalson September 9, 1978 in Salt Lake City, Utah. Member of the LDS Church. Served LDS mission to Scotland. Employed By CR England Trucking. Former resident of Ferron where he worked in the coal mines.Survived by wife, Karen, West Valley City; three sons, Brett Funk, West Valley City; Tyler Lee Funk, Cameron Funk, both of Riverton; three daughters, Mrs. Gerry (Teresa) Isackson, Midvale; Jeanette Dixon, West Valley City; Kimberly Funk, West Jordan; stepdaughter, Janette Williford, West Valley; one grandson, Joshua Alan Funk; mother, Reva Hunter, Ferron; two sisters, Mrs. Ollie (Doris) Lindsey, Provo; Mrs. John (Janice) Ciarus, Ferron. Preceded in death by son, Rodney Lee Funk, and father, Bruce Everett Funk.
Funeral services will be held Friday, 12 noon, at the Ferron 4th Ward, 35 West 200 North, Ferron, Utah. Friends may call Thursday, 5-8 p.m. at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 So. Redwood Road, and Friday, at the church, 11-11:40 a.m. Interment, Ferron Cemetery.
