Facing elimination from the Automotive League Tournament, Skyline responded to edge previously unbeaten Viewmont, 8-7, Saturday night.
A third-inning rally erased a 3-0 Viewmont lead and gave Skyline a two-run advantage. Viewmont tied the game in the top of the sixth and again in the top of the seventh after Skyline scored two more runs to go up 7-5.Skyline's Dave Alsop led off the bottom of the seventh with a double to left-center. Ryan Timmons moved him to third with a sacrifice bunt and Alsop then scored the winning run on Andy Dent's squib single to second base.
The two teams will meet again Monday at 3 p.m. for the championship at Ken Price Park.
