Clara Hilda Savage Roberts, 86, passed away on July 30, 1993 in Salt Lake City. She was dearly loved and will be greatly missed.
She was born in 1907 in Henrieville, Utah, a daughter of Cornelius and Fanny Adella Goulding Savage. She spent her early childhood in Annabella, Utah. She married Elton C. Roberts in Annabella in October, 1927; later solemnized in the Manti LDS Temple. She was active in the LDS Church, having served as a ward and stake Relief Society president. She was an active Sunday School and Relief Society teacher. She served with her husband as a temple worker in the Manti Temple for eight years. She loved music and had a beautiful voice. She served for many years as a ward chorister and choir leader. She was selected to sing as a member of a Relief Society group with the Tabernacle Choir.She is survived by her husband, Elton; sister, Chloe Davis; brother, Clarence Savage; son, Neal and daughter-in-law, Lorelei; granddaughters, Jan Kagel, Sue Roberts, and Patricia Greenlee; and five great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, August 2, at 2 p.m., in the Annabella LDS Ward Chapel. Friends may call at the ward chapel in Annabella on Monday from 12 noon to 1:30 p.m. Burial will be in the Annabella Cemetery. Funeral directors, Neal S. Magleby & Sons Mortuary, Richfield, Utah.
