Avard Boyce died at home July 2, 1993 after being lovingly cared for for many years by his dear wife, Mary Russell Boyce. They were married August 26, 1937.

Born August 31, 1915 in Butlerville, Utah to Charles Ivor and Eva Panter Boyce. Avard was the oldest child.Surviving are sisters, Luana Russell of Portland, Oregon; La Rue Green and brother, Harold Boyce, of Salt Lake City. Preceding him in death was a sister, Jean Macari. The children are Donald (Eva) of Kailua, Hawaii; Russell (Geri) and Kenneth (Shanna) of St. George, Utah; Glen (Colleen) of Salt Lake City; 21 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.

He served in the Army during World War II in the Middle East and Europe. He retired from American Oil in 1971. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and "snowbirding" in Arizona

Funeral services will be Tuesday, July 6, 1993 at 2 p.m. at Wasatch Lawn Mortuary Chapel (3401 Highland Dr.). Friends may call at the mortuary Monday evening from 6-8 p.m. and Tuesday from 12:45-1:45 p.m. prior to the services.
