Benjamin Willis Stephenson, age 65, passed away at home July 3, 1993 after a courageous battle with cancer.
He was born May 25, 1928 in Holden, Utah to Benjamin Jasper and Lorena Johnson Stephenson. He married Gwenneth Minks on June 26, 1953 and was later divorced. He married Ellen Boren; later divorced. Married Joan Gordon on December 28, 1979; divorced in 1992.Willis was a veteran of the Korean Conflict. He lived for many years in the Salt Lake area and was involved with insultion all over the world. He is a member of the LDS Church.
He is survived by a daughter, Michelle and Michael O'Brien of Ruidoso, New Mexico; ex-wife, Joan Stephenson and stepchildren, Linda Canton of Arizona, Jacquelin Gordon of California, and Cricket, Brian and Shawn Gordon, all of Salt Lake; two stepgrandchildren; sisters, Esther Evans of Provo, Helma Staples of Elsinore, Naomi Wanlass of Monroe, LaRue and Nord Brockbank of Fillmore, Patricia and Frank Davies of Fillmore, and Carole and Clifford Lawrence of Bountiful; sister-in-law, Valeria Stephenson of Holden; brothers, Wesley and Faye Stephenson of Holden, Stanley and Georgia Stephenson of Holden, and Wilbur and Allene Stephenson of Spanish Fork; many special nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by his sisters, Fern Dastrup and Myrth Johnson; and brother, Glen Stephenson.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, July 6, 1993 in the Holden LDS Ward Chapel at 11 a.m. Friends may call on Tuesday from 9:30-10:30 a.m. at the church. Interment, Holden Cemetery under the direction of Olpin Mortuary.
