Van Etna Hunt, age 88, passed away July 4, 1993 in Salt Lake City, Utah.
She was born November 22, 1904 in Morley, Missouri to Lee J. and Lena Harris Welman. She married Carl R. Hunt September 28, 1927 in Hayti, Missouri. They moved to Los Angeles, California in 1929 and lived there until 1989 when they moved to Salt Lake City.She attended Christian College in Colombia, Missouri. She was a member of the P.E.O. and a member of the Hollywood First Methodist Church since 1929. She was a stalwart of her church and loved teaching the little children.
She is survived by a son, William L. Hunt of Salt Lake City; daughter, Mary K. Gordon of Portland, Oregon; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild; sisters, Mildred Worrell of Keosauqua, Iowa, and Martha Dahringer of Cape Girardeau, Missouri. We will all miss her very much.
Preceded in death by her husband; and sister, Madeline Cook.
Graveside services will be 3 p.m. Wednesday, July 7, 1993 at Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park - Sunrise Park Section (3401 Highland Dr.). Funeral directors, Wasatch Lawn Mortuary.
