Louise Mary Allington Malmborg passed out of this life July 3, 1993. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother.
She was born June 13, 1909, the daughter of Walter H. and Elizabeth Howard Allington. She was a life-long resident of Holladay, Utah. She served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Montreal, Quebec, Canada in 1931. She married Charles Henry Malmborg August 1, 1935. The marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.She loyally supported her husband and children in all their endeavors, and she was known for her hard work throughout her life. She was a very caring and tender-hearted person. She enjoyed her garden and family gatherings in Big Cottonwood Canyon. She enjoyed her membership in the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers and served as secretary for many years.
She is survived by three sons, Charles Leroy and wife Barbara, Bremerton, Wash.; Reid and Luann, Taylorsville, Utah; Burl and Linda, Pleasant View, Utah; and two daughters, Ellen and Don Skabelund, Sandy, Utah; and Julie and Kirk Larsen, Myton, Utah; 21 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. Also surviving are two brothers, Walter and Gil Allington; and one sister, Vilate Jenson. She was preceded in death by her husband; and daughter, Margaret.
She has left her family an example of great courage, humor through trials, and endless patience.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, July 8, 1993, 1 p.m. at the Olympus 7th Ward Chapel, 2700 East 4500 South, where friends may call one hour prior to services. Viewing to be held at Cottonwood MacKay Mortuary, 4670 Highland Drive, on Wednesday, 6-8 p.m. Interment, Holladay Memorial Park.
