Orpha I. Adams, age 79, returned home to her Heavenly Father on July 5, 1993, in Salt Lake City, Utah.
She was born January 13, 1914 in Provo, Utah to Charles Henry Johnson and Fannie Esabella Lewis. She married Elmer Wilford Hayes on May 31, 1935 in Farmington, Utah. She married Vearl Stanly Adams on October 19, 1945 in Salt Lake City, Utah; later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple. Nurses aide at Cottonwood Hospital in the nursery for many years. Was a member of the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers. Was very active in the LDS Church.She is survived by her five sons: Terry E. Hayes, Salt Lake City; Ferris D. Hayes, Winlock, Washington; Kenneth G. Adams, Paul D. Adams, Gregory L. Adams, all of Salt Lake City; one daughter, Sandra B. Jeffs, Eugene, Oregon; 25 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
Services will be on Wednesday, July 7, 1993; viewing 8 a.m. to 9 a.m. at Cottonwood Mortuary, 4670 Highland Drive; graveside services to follow at Larkin Sunset Gardens Cemetery, 10600 So. 1700 East, Sandy, Utah. 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.
