SHARE CHILDREN’S LUNCH PROGRAM UNDER WAY AT 16 LOCATIONS IN SEVIER THIS SUMMER

The summer children's lunch program has been launched at 16 locations in Sevier County and will continue through Friday, Aug. 6.

The district prepares and serves the meals through funding by the U.S. Department of Agriculture.Meals are served during a 15-minute period Mondays through Fridays, and all children in the county may participate regardless of family income. Parents may accompany small children to the sites and may purchase remaining meals for $2.25 each.

Lunches are served at 11:30 a.m. at the Ashman Elementary and Rotary Park in Richfield, Glenwood City Park, Aurora City Park, Central City Park and Elsinore City Park. At noon they are available at Greenwich, the Sigurd City Park, Salina American Legion Park and the Monroe Elementary School.

Servings at 12:15 p.m. are at city parks in Redmond and Annabella. At 12:30 p.m., meals are at the Richfield Lions Park, Venice LDS Church and Joseph City Park. The last serving is at 1 p.m. at the Koosharem Elementary School.
