SHARE SKI UTAH NAMES 7 TO ITS BOARD

The Utah Ski Association recently filled in vacancies in its board of directors.

According to Randy Montgomery, executive director of Ski Utah, seven people were elected to the 21-person board.Re-elected to serve additional three-year terms were Kent Hoopingarner, Snowbird; Larry Jackstien, Salt Lake Hilton; Kirk Langford, Marker USA; Fred Rollins, Delta Air Lines; and Onno Wieringa, Alta.

New members of the board are Steve Dudley, Rossignol; and Myles Redeman, Park City Municipal Corporation.

Other members of the board are Jon Brinton, Jupiter Property Management; Frank Jones, Avis Rent-A-Car; Tom Kelly, U.S. Skiing; Rainer Kolb, Snowbasin; Robbie Beck-McHugh, Park City; Brad Olch, Park City; Jan Peterson, Jan's LTD; Kip Pitou, Pre Skis; Gordon Strachan, Strachan & Strachan; Barbara Zimonja, The Resort Group; Randy Doyle, Brighton; Mike Gore, Solitude; Phil Jones, Park City; and Bob Wheaton, Deer Valley.

Officers in the organization are: Hoopingarner, chair; Doyle, executive vice chair; Rollins, secretary-treasurer; and Goar, Jackstien, Jones, Weaton and Wieringa, vice chairs.

The Utah Ski Association is a 200-member private non-profit association representing Utah's ski industry.

Utah recently wrapped-up its best ski season ever - 2,850,000 lift tickets were sold by the 14 resorts.
