In recent news, I have been seriously annoyed by the way the Utah legal system has harassed an 81-year-old Salt Lake man for growing vegetables in the parkstrip in front of his house.

Is there really a reason for this, and isn't the crime rate a little higher in other areas? Aren't there a few worse criminals that they could be after besides a poor old man? Does it really matter if a man grows a few vegetables?Think about it, the plants will be gone within a few weeks, and if they are worried about him setting a precedent, who really cares? Isn't it better than letting the parkstrip turn to weeds?

In my opinion, they have no case.
