An attorney for one of the two 18-year-olds accused of killing Michael Jordan's father says he has new information that shows the suspects are innocent.
The Charlotte Observer reported today that Hugh Rogers, who represents Larry Martin Demery, said the information suggests someone else killed James Jordan and that Demery and co-defendant Daniel Andre Green, "wandered upon a car with a body in it."Jim Coman, director of the State Bureau of Investigation, said authorities are performing ballistics tests on a .38-caliber handgun believed to be the murder weapon that could connect the two to the July 23 shooting. Thomas Lusby, the FBI's assistant agent in charge of North Carolina, said there is more evidence than just the gun to link the two to the killing.
