Veteres Marie Rosquist Bibee Hess passed away August 20, 1993 in Salt Lake City of natural causes.
Born February 7, 1901 in Ephraim, Utah to William and Anena Martina Anderson Rosquist. She was the seventh of nine children. Married Charles Gladwin Bibee in Farmington, Utah on February 28, 1925. He died May 31, 1940. The marriage was solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple, October 24, 1941. After raising three daughters, as a widow for 35 years, she married George Hess in Salt Lake City on June 16, 1975. He died January 10, 1988.A talented seamstress, homemaker, cook and care-giver, she provided dedicated service for several employers. Her favorite avocation was working as a foster grandparent with premature infants at the University of Utah Hospital.
A devoted church member and example of Christ-like love, Vee held many callings in the LDS Church Primary and Relief Society organizations, also fulfilled a stake mission.
Survived by two daughters, Colleen (Dennis) Hansen, Salt Lake; Barbara Olsen, Escondido, Calif.; 11 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by husbands; daughter, June Ruth Newsome Richards.
Funeral services will be Monday, August 23rd at 12 noon. Friends may call Sunday from 6-8 pm and Monday the hour prior at Larkin Sunset Lawn, 2350 East 1300 South.
