Beach Boy singer/songwriter Mike Love recalls a disturbing dinner party with maniacal Charlie Manson, who roomed in the late 1960s with the late Beach Boys member Dennis Wilson before Manson orchestrated the brutal murders that made him famous.

"Once, Bruce (Johnston) and I went over to dinner . . . we were invited over. And we were the only ones with clothes on at the dinner table," Love told a Toronto writer."There were about 15 people there, and after dinner, they invited us to go into the study, and Manson turned on a strobe light and handed out acid to everybody. Bruce and I declined, and said, `Gee, guys, really, we've got to go back to the studio, we've got to finish this song. See you later'," Love said.

He later told Wilson, "Boy, you've really got some roommate there, don't you?"
