A vehicle traveling through the narrow canyon was hit by the first, minor slide. The woman driver was not injured, although the vehicle received minor damage. A second slide, a half-mile long and 8 feet deep at some points, followed moments later and blocked both travel lanes, said Utah Highway Patrol trooper Steve Pelton.
