The annual Tintic Silver Festival Celebration is under way in Eureka.
Today's events include a Scout breakfast from 7 to 9 a.m. and a foot and bike race at 7 a.m. at Tintic High School.A three-hour family oriented non-competitive guided mountain bike tour around Tintic Peak will begin at 8 a.m. at the high school parking lot. Snacks and water will be provided.
The parade will begin at 10 a.m. Entrants must meet at Tintic High parking lot at 9 a.m. Everyone is welcome to participate.
Museums will open at 11 a.m. Saturday and will close at 5 p.m. Admission is free at the depot and city hall.
The TNT Muzzleloaders will hold a black-powder shoot from noon to 5 p.m. at Tintreka Park and a Hidden Bug Shoot for youngsters 10 and up. All youngsters must have a hunter safety card or be with a responsible adult. A Dutch oven dessert contest will begin at 6 p.m. All desserts must be prepared from scratch and already be cooked.
The Centennial Development Co. reunion will be held at Tintic Baseball Field from noon to 2 p.m. Tintic High School will hold a 40th reunion at the school with dinner at 7 p.m.
