Don Forrest Allsop, 73, passed away August 20, 1993 due to complications following surgery.
Born March 8, 1920 in Grace, Idaho to George and Eliza Christensen Allsop. Married in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on May 22, 1942 to Mildred Artell Burton.He spent 30 years employed at the Tooele Army Depot. He was an active high priest in the LDS Church and he filled many church positions in his life. Due to his health experiences, he taught compassion to all those he met.
He was dearly loved by his wife, Artell, and daughter, Carol Lynn Metcalf (LaMar), both of Salt Lake City; son, Fred Don Allsop (Connie), Park City, Utah; grandchildren, Troy (Lora), Clark and Teresa Metcalf, Carly, Megan, and Jentry Allsop; great-grandchildren, Katrina, Stephen, and Katelyn Metcalf; brothers, Buss and Sunny; sisters, Mattie, Dora and Afton.
Preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Eva and Della.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, 12 noon, August 24, 1993 in the Wilford Ward Chapel, 3179 South Highland Drive. Friends may call at Wasatch Lawn Mortuary, 3401 So. Highland Drive, on Monday evening, 7-8:30 p.m. and at the church on Tuesday, 10:45-11:45 a.m. prior to services. Entombment, Wasatch Lawn Mausoleum.
