Examples of places to stay:- The V-Bar Guest Ranch is 20 miles west of Laramie on Highway 130 in the foothills of the Snowy Range. The highway itself is worth the drive. Designated a Scenic Highway, it takes you to the town of Centennial and over the mountains to Saratoga, known for its hot springs.
The recently renovated V-Bar was once an Overland Stage stop. Now, decorated in the style of Ralph Lauren, it caters primarily to dudes who stay for a week at a time. Lodge suites (one or two bedrooms with private baths) and cabins (two and three bedrooms) will be available on a nightly basis after Labor Day. Prices per night will be $85 per couple (includes breakfast). Cabins will cost $170 per night for six people. Cabins have a fireplace or wood-burning stove. Two of the three cabins are 110 years old and were used by trappers. They have been renovated to include all the modern comforts. The lodge's restaurant is open to the public as well as guests. - The Old Corral Mountain Lodge in Centennial has 16 spacious motel rooms. Each has two full-size beds. The lodge, with its full-service restaurant, opened last Christmas.
