Stan A. Taylor, a Brigham Young University political science professor, will deliver the 11th annual Harman Lecture.
The lecture, "Immigration, Ethnicity, and Foreign Policy," is scheduled for Wednesday, Jan. 19, at 10 a.m., in the Conference Center Auditorium. Sponsored by the Division of Continuing Education, the talk is free to the public.Taylor's presentation will focus on a book he co-authored with Earl Fry and Robert Wood titled "America the Vincible."
Since coming to BYU in 1968, Taylor has served as chairman of the political science department and as the first director of the David M. Kennedy Center for International Studies. He recently returned from the University of Otago in New Zealand, where he was a Fulbright senior lecturer.
Initiated in 1984, the Harman Lecture honors the accomplishments of Caroline Hemenway Harman (1873-1940), for whom the Harman Continuing Education Building is named.
