Former President Richard Nixon celebrated his 81st birthday last weekend by completing work on his 10th book.

"Beyond Peace," to be published in June by Random House, looks at the role of the United States in global politics in the beginning of the 21st century, given the demise of communism in Europe and other major changes.Kevin Cartwright, spokesman for the Richard Nixon Library and Birthplace in Yorba Linda, Calif., said Nixon will be at the landmark Jan. 20 to celebrate the 25th anniversary of his first presidential inauguration.

The library sells T-shirts bearing the likeness of Nixon, who resigned from office in 1974 in the wake of the Watergate scandal, saying he's "tanned, rested and ready" for a run in 1996.
