Students who would like to attend a Granite District school although they don't reside within district boundaries must apply before 3 p.m. Jan. 31. Open enrollment is allowed on a space-available basis, and space is limited in most schools.

Applications can be picked up at the schools. A one-time $5 processing fee is charged, payable to the school where the application is submitted. Granite District students will get priority over those from other districts.Students may not be rejected because of academic standing, but a history of poor citizenship or behavior problems may be considered. Utah High School Activities Association rules for interscholastic competition will be followed.

Parents will be notified in writing on or before March 1 if their request has been approved. For information, call 268-8560.
