Salt Lake police are investigating two gang-related shootings over the weekend in West Salt Lake.

The first shooting took place Saturday at 5:40 p.m. at about 1000 W. McFarland, according to a Salt Lake police report. A neighbor told police he watched as two teenagers yelled at a rival gang member to come out of a house.Minutes later the man heard three to five shots coming from the yard of the home, the report said. Police questioned other witnesses and the residents of the home involved in the shooting. After pressing the residents, one man told police which man did the shooting and where the gun was, the report said.

The man told police that he and the two teens in the car were members of rival gangs.

Police are still looking for suspects in a shooting early Sunday morning at 747 W. 1300 South. A man living at that address told police that he heard six shots about 5:30 a.m.

Two bullets entered the house, but none of the residents could identify the shooters, the report said. A neighbor told police he saw a white Monte Carlo or similar car drive by and shoot at the house, a report said.
