Emery Rulond Hunt, 80, died January 24, 1994 in Sandy, Utah.

Born January 21, 1914 in Fruitland, New Mexico, to John L. and Martha Hatch Hunt. Married Maude Lorena Sage in Drummond, Montana on May 27, 1961.Emery was an innovative entrepreneur - a man ahead of his time! He loved life, especially gardening, photography, and guiding tours in Monument Valley. He was a people person; his tour guide clients would come back year after year, commenting how much they enjoyed his wit, enthusiasm, and knowledge. He was a true-grit pioneer, and his love for the beauty of Southern Utah was exceeded only by his love for his loving, devoted wife, Maude.

Survived by wife, Maude; daughters, Maxine H. Hixon (John), Audrey H. Wells (Dave), Martha LaRae Piper (Charles), Judy H. McAllister (Grant), Leone R. Mikel (W.A.), Leah R. Hill (LeGrande), Leola R. Holt (Les); sons, E. K. Hunt (Jodi), Verl F. (Buzz) Hunt (Jan Graham), Arnold Fairclough (Doris); 26 grandchildren; 68 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; brothers, Ray, Leo G. and Ralph Hunt.

Prayer service Wednesday, Jan. 26, 1994, at 3 p.m. at Goff Mortuary, 8090 South State Street. Graveside services Friday, Jan. 28, at 10:30 a.m. at the Blanding City Cemetery.
