Mae Walker Bond, 95, died January 25, 1994 at her daughter's home in Logan, Utah.
Born May 1, 1898 in Fruitland, New Mexico, the 9th child of 12 children born to William Albert and Charlotte Brimhall Walker. Educated and nourished as a child in Redmesa, Colorado. Attended high school in Ft. Lewis, one year before she married Karl Erwin Bond in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He preceded her in death 1979. They raised their five children in Kirtland and Shiprock, New Mexico. Moved to Salt Lake City in 1946, spent the remainder of their lives here. Served in many callings in the LDS Church, both in ward and stake, Relief Society was her favorite. Quilting and sewing and fanciwork were her talents.Survived by sons: Engman Ervin (Muriel), William D., Hal D. (Elaine), daughters: Verlee Shurtliff, Twila Mae Dean.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 29, 1994, 11 a.m., Garden Heights Ward, 2220 East Fisher Ln. (2935 So.) Friends may call Friday 6-8 p.m. at Holbrook Funeral Chapel, 3251 South 2300 East and Saturday one hour prior to services at the church. Interment, Mt. View Memorial Estates.
