If it's true that the state wants to encourage dads to be involved in their children's lives, then why aren't they punished when they aren't involved or when they flee the state? Custodial parents can't move more than 150 miles from their address at the time of the divorce, but dads can and do without penalty. The proposed changes in alimony laws say that mothers cannot co-habit, but no such restriction is placed on the dads. Why are all the laws one-sided?

Our state legislators seem confused as to the differences between men and women. Maybe this is because most of them are male. Women need to use their vote, get organized and speak up. Or better yet, file and run for office.A. Vogel
