City officials are serious when they tell residents to pay their overdue utility bills or lose their services.
In addition to regular municipal services such as sewer, water and garabage colleciton, Nephi also operates municipally owned power and natural gas utilities.Besides discontinuing services for those who do not pay the bills, city officials have started legal action against some residents who have not made payments on overdue bills.

Police recently served papers on a delinquent customer who will have to appear in court and explain why the payments have not been made, said Police Chief Chad Bowles.
