Salt Lake's two-game road winning streak was ended convincingly Friday night as the Las Vegas Thunder crushed the Golden Eagles, 9-1.

After one period it looked like the game might be a low-scoring one as the Thunder scored only one goal. But Las Vegas came back with five in the second period to put the game out of reach.With the loss the Eagles' season record falls to 14-29(4). Las Vegas improved its mark to 32-8(4) and has an 18-3(3) record at home.

The two teams play each other again tonight but this time it's in the Delta Center.
