Helen Ada Ericksen Johnson Penko, our beloved mother and grandmother died Jan. 1, 1994 of pneumonia in Hill Haven.

Born June 3, 1909 in Mt. Pleasant, Utah. Daughter of Erick Henry and Annie Christine Monsen Ericksen. Married Wayne E. Johnson, on May 17, 1930. He died April 26, 1960. She married Joseph R. Penko on August 1, 1962. He died June 21, 1986. Member of LDS Church. Helen's family were accomplished musicians, when she was very young, she played with her brother Ralph for church functions, and the silent movies in Mt. Pleasant. Helen shared her home with love and happiness with family and friends. Graduated Heniger's Business College, in Salt Lake City.Survived by: one daughter, two sons and spouses, Joyce and Carl Johnstun, Kearns; Jan and Grace Johnson, Price; Jeff Johnson, Kearns; six grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; brother, Gerald Ericksen, Salt Lake City.

Funeral service Wednesday, January 5, 1994, at 2 p.m. at Price LDS Stake Center, 150 So. 5th East, Price, Utah. Friends may call Mitchell Chapel 9 a.m.-9 p.m. daily. Family will be at the church Wednesday one hour prior to services. Interment Price City Cemetery.
