This is a special year for our family. A generous and caring family in Tennessee gave my husband a second chance at life. A special gift was given, a liver donation.

The liver transplant team at LDS Hospital completed the gift to us. Drs. LeGrand Belnap, Terry Box, Wm. Rees, John Sorenson and M. Stevens, along with transplant coordinators S. Church, G. Martin and the LDS Hospital staff, made the transplant a success. We, in Utah, are most fortunate to have these remarkable health-care givers available to us. I wish that everyone could have the opportunity to meet them. They are indeed giants in their field as well as caring people. We are most grateful to them.

On behalf of those who are alive today because they were given a second chance, and the many who are awaiting organs, perhaps more Utahns should resolve to carry a donor card.
