Harold LeRoy Palmer, 83, Goshen, Utah, died Monday, October 17, 1994, at his home in Goshen.

He was born May 6, 1911 at Sunnyside, Utah, a son of Richard Vern and Julia Steele Palmer. He married Leah M. Menlove, December 29, 1932 at Provo, Utah.Harold was a carpenter supervisor for 23 years at Dugway Proving Grounds. He was a member of the LDS Church. Served as a Goshen Town Council Board member for 12 years. Was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, serving with the Sixth Armored Division in Germany. Recipient of the Bronze Star.

He loved camping, hunting, sports, reading, and spending time with his

family. Survivors include his wife of 62 years; four children and their spouses, Sterling and Helen Argyle, Spanish Fork; Larry and Rose Marie Palmer; Clair and Barbara Carter, all Goshen; Rex Palmer, Kalispell, Montana; 14 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren; brother and two sisters, Norval Palmer and Ethel Green, both Goshen; and Edna Clement, Santaquin. Preceded in death by four brothers; a daughter, Jeanne P. Beck, and a grandson.

Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, October 20, 1994, at 11 a.m. at the Goshen LDS Ward Chapel. Friends may call Wednesday evening from 6-8 p.m. at Holladay Hills Funeral Home, 66 South 300 East, Santaquin, and at the Goshen Chapel from 9:45-10:45 a.m. on Thursday. Interment will be in the Goshen City Cemetery with full military rites by Goshen American Legion Post
