Steve Howe, the former guitarist for the progressive art band Yes, will give a solo performance at the Zephyr Club on Wednesday, Nov. 16. The doors will open at 7 p.m.

Howe joined Yes in 1971 and added depth and color to the band's classically inspired arrangments for the bands temporary break up in 1980. In 1982, the band regrouped but Howe didn't return until 1991's "Union" album. In 1989, Howe embarked on other projects such as album collaborations with former bandmates Jon Anderson, Bill Bruford and Rick Wakeman. The album was entitled, strangely enough, "Anderson, Bruford Wakeman and Howe."

But when the four decided to embark on a tour that would feature some Yes material, Atlantic Records filed a suit to prevent the band from doing so. Later that year, a court ruling rejected the Atlantic bid. And the four took to the road with the show "An Evening of Yes Music, Plus."

Earlier this year, Caroline Records released a live album that coincided with the tour.
