Eleroy West Rasmuson, age 75, passed away Tuesday, November 8, 1994 from a heart attack.
Eleroy was born February 1, 1919 in Pleasant Grove, Utah, a son of Nils Gunnar and Leona West Rasmuson. Eleroy married Fae Jacobsen in the Logan LDS Temple, July 30, 1940. He was an active member of the LDS Church, and served in many capacities including a member of a bishopric, on a high council, and most recently as a temple worker.Eleroy had a special love for the outdoors and the Boy Scout program and received the Silver Beaver Scouting Award.
Eleroy was owner and manager of the Herald Printing Company in Logan. Eleroy was well loved by family and friends for his quick wit and pleasant personality.
He is survived by his wife, Fae, four sons and one daughter: Richard and Marilyn Rasmuson, Salt Lake City; Brent and Tess Rasmuson, Smithfield; Joan and Craig Anderson, Salt Lake City; Craig Rasmuson, Logan; David and Becky Rasmuson, Logan; nine grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; one brother and three sisters: Ellwood and Fawn Rasmuson, Logan; Eleanor Cook, Paradise; Dorothea and Ken Slack, West Virginia; Metta and Wes Schow, Orem.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 12, 1994 at 12 noon in the Logan 15th Ward Chapel, 125 West 600 North. Friends may call at Nelson Funeral Home, 162 East 400 North, Logan, Friday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. and at the church on Saturday from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Burial will be in the Logan City Cemetery.
