Her forefather, Washburn Chipman, helped settle American Fork and she took great pride in her pioneer stock. After losing a newborn and four children to Meningitis within three weeks, her strength and tenacity enabled her to raise five children basically on her own.She worked at Dugway Proving Grounds, retiring in 1962. Mina was a member of the LDS Church with deep spiritual convictions. Her many interests included camping, sewing, singing and working in her yard among her roses. Mina was a dear, wonderful woman who devoted her life to her family, instilling in them the love and strength she possessed. Much of the happiness in her life was provided by her grandchildren. She was a model of pride, courage, and determination for everyone who knew her.
