Maj. Charles David Martin, age 73, passed away November 3, 1994, in a Salt Lake City hospital.

Born September 13, 1921, in Salt Lake City Utah, to Raymond Vincent Martin Oenone Smith. He married Patricia Riley on February 10, 1962, in Joliet, Illinois. Graduated from the U of U, with a B.S. degree as a Metallurgical Engineer. He served his country in the US Army, where he worked as a Nuclear Engineer, serving in WWII and the Korean conflict. He retired in 1967 after 23 years, and began a civil service career in engineering at HAFB. He retired from the "Hill" in 1982. Member of the V.F.W., the D. A. V., and a life member of the Retired Officers Assn. Enjoyed golf, painting and his family. We're going to miss you, Charles David.Survived by his wife Patricia; a son, David Riley (and Gerri Lee) Martin; and mother, Oenone, all from Holladay. Preceded in death by Steven Martin.

Private services were held. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations in Charles David's name Utah Chapters of the D.A.V., 273 E. 800 S. (84111) or the Salvation Army, 252 So. 500 East, 84111. Funeral Directors: The Holbrook Funeral Chapel.
