A courageous man, Kelly Russ Oakeson, died November 5, 1994 at age 50 of Lymphoma.

Born February 16, 1944 in Murray, Utah to Harvey W. and Jetta Campbell Oakeson. Graduated from Bingham High School where he met and married his high school sweetheart, Betty June Hardman, on October 5, 1962. Marriage later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.He was a proud husband and father of four, owner of Oakeson Construction, and a member of the Elks Club. Enjoyed golfing, fishing, hunting and boating with family and friends.

He will be deeply missed by wife, Betty; daughters, Keleen (Steve) Larsen, Dana (Russell) Ipson, Kris (Bart) Rose, Vicki Oakeson; seven grandchildren; mother, Jetta Oakeson; brothers, Wade (Janet), Steve, Jay (Alice); sisters, Jackie (Terry) Osborne, Joni (John) Merriam. Preceded in death by father, Harvey.

He has left a lifelong legacy behind because of his passion for life, his humor, and his genuine love for all.

Funeral services Wednesday, November 9, 1994, at 12 noon at the West Jordan 44th Ward Chapel, 1899 West 7600 South. Friends may call Tuesday, 6-8 p.m. at Goff Mortuary, 8090 South State, and Wednesday at the church from 10:45-11:45 a.m. Interment, Bluffdale City Cemetery.
