I must be tuned in on a different wavelength than all the Republican conservatives who have been saying President Clinton does not have the ability to conduct foreign policy.
I keep hearing and reading these reports on TV and in the newspapers that President Aristide is back in office in Haiti. North Korea has agreed to a nuclear inspection and a nuclear restructuring agreement. Saddam Hussein has turned tail and is heading back to Baghdad. Israel has signed a peace treaty with Jordan. The citizens of Somalia are eating again. The Rwandans have clean water.Do we need to have a gunboat diplomacy to conduct foreign policy? I believe President Clinton has proved he can conduct both domestic and foreign policy successfully.
