The Brigham Young University ROTC and Student Service Association will sponsor a week of spirited activities to commemorate Veterans Day and to encourage patriotism in the community during Patriot's Week Nov. 7-12.

Tuesday, BYU students are encouraged to wear patriotic colors for Red, White and Blue Day. The National Anthem will also be played across campus at 11 a.m.
Wednesday, Air Force cadets will conduct a wreath laying ceremony at noon in the ELWC Memorial Lounge. A special tribute will be given to Capt. John Kindred, who died in an Air Force flying accident last spring.
Thursday, Elder Robert D. Hales of the Council of the Twelve of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints will be honored for his patriotism during the annual military parade and Patriot's Review on the Smoot Building Quad from 3:30-4:30 p.m. Elder Hales is the recipient of the ROTC Patriot's Award and will address the cadets. Elder Hales served in the U.S. Air Force as a jet fighter pilot. The ceremony will also include an F-16 fly-by.
Friday, annual Veterans Day Vigil from sunrise to sunset at the ASB flagpole. The BYU ROTC will stand guard.
Saturday, Patriot's Week will conclude with the Patriot's Ball from 9 p.m to midnight in the ELWC Memorial Lounge. Tickets are $5 per couple. Call 378-2671.
