Our nation is a decaying civilization. On all fronts (political, economic, academic, physical, social and spiritual), we find ourselves in peril. As a nation, we are faced with much evidence that all too many of us are endeavoring to pursue an "easy come, easy go," a "have your cake and eat it too" lifestyle.

Unfortunately, the accommodation extended to the above by many prattle artists, innovators, demagogues, the scam scum, and increasingly by a bloated and ambivalent federal taskmaster, alias "provider," is undermining an urgently needed personal commitment to responsibility and accountability. Government, on the federal level in particular, is contributing in a major way toward digging the most expensive grave ever known to man - one in which to bury a significant portion of "life-enhancing" morality.Originally intended to be the capital of a great republic that sustained a political way second to none on earth, Washington, D.C., has become Washington, Dole Center (not Robert). To pay for this "dole," we have been and continue to be subjected to excessive "capital" punishment (taxation) meted out by liberal politicians and by many of us who carelessly accept or acquiesce in "free lunch" and "pork-barrel" legislation.

We the citizens (generally a good, a wholesome people) have been all too silent in contesting the avalanche of "junk legislation" and the ensuing political, economic, social and spiritual bondage. And, tragically, we are now conditioned to accepting the practice of passing the "buck" (the costs of current necessities as well as exploits) to the younger generation and to our posterity. This practice is immoral in a capital way.
