Being a junior at Skyline High School, my focus has turned toward the future. The options for youth heading out into the "real world" seem endless but soon become limited when choices are made in education.

Every student is expected to have focus and tunnel vision, which closes off various avenues of study. For example, if someone were to choose a career in technology, the classes they would have to take would most likely be subjects relating to math and science, thus restricting any study of art. That would be a drastic change for those young adults who have spent their childhood attempting to meet society's idea of a "well-rounded child."I'm a teenager who has a quest for higher knowledge and intelligence than what society expects of me. I challenge my peers and adults to want more than the bare minimum of knowledge.

Although college is thought of as a place of higher knowledge, I believe it to be, at times, a place where knowledge can also be limited.
