Dorothy Hale Evans, 73, passed away Monday, November 7, 1994, after a long illness.
She was born December 5, 1920 in Grantsville, Utah, to William Riley Hale and Sarah Rydalch Hale. She married Ruel Evans, June 21, 1939 in the Salt Lake Temple and they made their home in Stockton. Dorothy was an active member of LDS Church, holding many church positions. She was a member of the Daughters of Utah Pioneers. She worked for many years at Johnson's Store in Stockton.She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Richard (Dorothy) Stockdale, Stockton, Utah; two sons, Don Evans, of Stockton; Dean (Carma) Evans, of Tooele; 15 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren. Also surviving are sisters, Margaret Smith, of Stockton; Donna Watson, of Grantsville; Kathryn Reed, of Taylorsville, Utah; brothers, Arnold Hale, of Grantsville; Blaine Hale, of Sandy, Utah. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ruel, sisters, Alice Hale Stutz, and brothers, Martel and Reid Hale.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, November 10, 1994 at 1 p.m. in the Stockton Ward Chapel. Friends may call at Tate Mortuary, 110 So. Main St., Tooele, Wednesday from 6-8 p.m. and one hour prior at the church on Thursday. Interment, Tooele City Cemetery.
