Marie R. Kirkland, age 90, passed away November 5, 1994 of causes related to advanced age.
She was born February 22, 1904 in Park City, Utah, to Erwin A. and Sylvia B. Lyells Rieger. Raised in Boise, Idaho; graduated from the University of Utah with a degree in Fine Arts.She married Raymond O. Kirkland September 19, 1927. They moved to Bountiful in 1937 where they raised their three children. She was active in local civic affairs and several camera clubs. Her artistic ability was evident in her award-winning photographic work.
She is survived by her husband, Ray; children and spouses, Janeen and Melvin Hancock; John R. and Susan Kirkland, all of Bountiful; James E. and Leslie Kirkland, Syracuse; 17 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; one brother, Fred Rieger, Boise, Idaho.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, November 9, 1994, at 2 p.m., at Lindquist's Bountiful Mortuary, 727 North 400 East. Friends may call Wednesday from 1-1:45 p.m. Interment will be in the Bountiful City Cemetery.
