Andrew Morton, that nonpareil observer of royal life, has published a brand-new Di book in Britain that alleges the princess would see her way clear to taking Prince Charles back "if he ate enough humble pie, praised her achievements and apologized for his adultery," according to a friend of Di's quoted in the tome.

Apparently Di makes no conditions pertinent to any involvement Charles might have with his pinup fantasy girl, Barbra Streisand. In light of the fact that the New York Post says Chuck spent no less than an hour and a half in private with Babs at the Bel Air Hotel in L.A. recently, that's a good thing.- SPLITTING: The recent news that Kevin Costner and his wife are splitting has been overshadowed by word that action-movie goon Steven Seagal and model Kelly LeBrock, are following suit in the divorce-lawsuit department, amid voluminous revelations concerning Steve's apparently quite checkered romantic history, involving numerous marriages and all kinds of scary behavior.
