Nick Price was hoping the wind would abate for today's final round of the PGA Grand Slam of Golf.

The three other golfers in the 36-hole, $1 million tournament hope so, too."It would be nice if the wind died down a little so we can play," Price said after shooting a 2-under-par 70 Tuesday to share the lead with Greg Norman.

With gusts up to 45 mph bending flagsticks on the 6,957-yard Poipu Bay Resort Golf Course on the island of Kauai, the four-man field struggled all day.

But despite the less-than-favorable conditions, the quartet wasn't more than three strokes apart until Jose Maria Olazabal parred the final hole while the others birdied.

The tournament features winners of the four majors - Masters, PGA and the U.S. and British Opens. But since Price won both the PGA and British Open, Norman won the fourth spot in a tiebreaker with Tom Watson.

It marked the first time in the tournament's 12-year history that an American was not a participant.
