Southwest Airlines said Wednesday it will extend its fare sale announced last month for one week, through Nov. 22.

The sale offers one-day advance purchase fares of at least 50 percent off of Southwest's regular fares. The one-week extension is for travel completed by March 2.The fares are available to all 37 of the markets Southwest serves from Salt Lake City International Airport.

"We've had an overwhelming customer response since announcing the sale two weeks ago," said Dave Ridley, vice president of marketing and sales for Dallas-based Southwest.

"The extension has been made to give even more travelers the opportunity to travel at an exceptionally low price."
