BYU TO TEACH SPANISH USING BOOK OF MORMON

SHARE BYU TO TEACH SPANISH USING BOOK OF MORMON

The department of linguistics at Brigham Young University seeks volunteers who are willing to learn Spanish by using the Book of Mormon.

Associate professor Charles Ray Graham has designed an unusual method for teaching Spanish where the reader begins his or her Book of Mormon study in English. Spanish words are introduced gradually. Once a word appears in Spanish, it never appears in English again.By the time the student finishes the Book of Mormon, he or she is reading largely in Spanish.

Those interested should call the linguistics department secretary at 378-3131 weekdays between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m.
