Alice Cooper may have a new source of cash: golf.

The rocker, who lives in Paradise Valley, near Phoenix, was one of four players to get a hole-in-one Thursday during a competition sponsored by the Fiesta Bowl.Cooper, an avid golfer who once sponsored his own tournament, will join about 40 other players at Sunday's finals at the Arizona Biltmore Country Club.

The winner gets $1.5 million.

Cooper is a regular in the competition, said event spokesman Shawn Schoeff-ler.

"He goes out every year and hits his golf balls. This is the first time he's made a hole-in-one," Schoeffler said. "Everybody recognized him and thought it was real neat, and everyone was celebrating when he made it."

Cooper has an unlisted telephone number and couldn't be reached for comment Friday.
